What documentation does an insurance claim for water or fire damage need?

A strong property claim usually includes photos and video of the damage before cleanup, a record of what caused it and when, moisture readings for water losses, a written scope of work, a list of damaged contents, and receipts for emergency expenses. A restoration company can provide the restoration side of that record.
