What should Norwalk homeowners know?
Norwalk's first settlers arrived around 1846, near the North River, and the town incorporated in 1900 at one square mile. The North River has been part of its story since: the town's rail line was abandoned in 1947 after a flood badly damaged the North River bridge, according to the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce.
